Welcome to Winchester U11s website
All new players are welcome to come along on Sundays.
For fixtures, please see the Minis-Information section
We train every Sunday at 10.00 am beyond the clubhouse on Devils Island. Sessions will end between 11.30 and 12.00 pm depending on what is being covered on the day. We usually train with a squad of between 24 - 38 boys and girls.
All players need to have a gum shield and rugby studs and plenty of layers when it is cold and to bring a drink.
All players need a parent present at all times.
The coaches are always happy to discuss anything with the parents.
This year, the U11s will be building on the contact skills particularly in the ruck and maul. We will be adding kicking to this years game
In order to play at a tournament a player must firstly be a member of Winchester RFC and secondly have registered with the RFU. Joining instructions can be found on the main Minis page.

Tournaments / Festivals
Hampshire and the RFU have asked that tournaments are played where every child will receive a medal and that there is no overall winner. This does not mean be do not play competitively but does allow us, where appropriate to play children of mixed ability. There are A team, A/B team and Emerging players’ tournaments and on average there are four or five per season. They generally start around 9.00 am and tend to end between 2 and 4 pm.
Selection is only required for the tournaments / festivals and an email listing players selected will be sent by Tuesday / Wednesday of the week of the tournament.
